Dr. Shields’ research is widely published in such journals as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, American Journal of Sports Medicine, Clinical Orthopaedics and Arthroscopy; and he has been a contributing author to several books. Dr. Shields, current research includes perioperative management in orthopaedic surgery and posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction.
